Combat Text
Hi everyone!
Welcome to a new devlog! Today I wanted to talk a bit about the combat text. Now you can see text when you hit an enemy or you gain health for example. I decided to add this for more visuals and sometimes just the little things can make the game look more interesting!
For the text I made it into something that can be reused for many things. I only have one text object that's used for all of this. Also it changes color depending on the situation. For health for example I made it green. For combat I made it red. Text will also show when gaining experience.
Then I was working on a different approach for trees. I realize that this might take me some time to finish but I think it will look nicer in the end:) I'm using more abstract shapes for the leaves and I need to change the tree trunks a bit. But this way I can also add more variety and make it look a bit more cozy and mysterious:) I will show you an update on this a bit later so for now its still very WIP.
Next I will work on an experience system for the player and getting exp after completing a quest!
