Save System and auto tiling


Hi everyone!

Wow its been a while since my last devlog. I did get a lot of things done but I will do my best to keep up with at least twice a week devlogs:)

Since my last devlog this is what I was able to complete:

- player can gain experience now and level up

- I started on a save system which is almost done! I will complete is as much as possible with what I did so far and might have to add a few things as the game progresses.

- I added some auto tiling for water and trees to make the workflow a bit easier. There are easier to draw now and I can use this for adding pathfinding later on because I don't want the player or the enemy to walk through water and trees.

The save menu:

I added a screenshot of the save menu. Please know that its not final. But there will be 3 save slots. You can save, load or a delete a game slot. 

I'm thinking to have the player save at certain points in the game like a special building in town or something. I don't really want the player to be able to save any time like in the middle of combat:)

What's next:

I will finish the save menu and then add click to move for the player meaning you can simply click with the mouse and the player will move there. This is where pathfinding will come in play. I will add this for both player and enemy so if an enemy is chasing you they will find the best route without getting stuck on water or trees.

And after that I will probably take a small break from coding and just do level design. At least finish the town, forest and the ruins area.
